New Video Bar Added
So I thought that the page did not look good without some thing moving. That was the sole reason I put a video bar. But I put for you who can learn and understand and identify specific instances that use simple animation. These videos if studied properly can help you a lot. So have a look at each of them and then I will add other videos also.
How to use the Motion Path in Maya.
Hey, I am back with a new tutorial on animation in Maya. This technique that I am going to show you is basically an object that follows a specific path and in this way you can give the path that you want. I am going to use my own model of a bird that I created for a project. You can do this with any object as long as it is polygonal or a nurbs object.
1: First create a curve or select any type of curve that you might have created. For me I am going to use a nurbs circle. Then get your model or any object into the picture.

2: Then select the model and the circle go to the Animate area and then go to the motion path menu and select the little box next to the Attach to Motion Path area and another menu will appear.

3: After that Voila! when you hit play you will get your object following the path that you set.
So in three simple steps you have createdyour own equene of movement.

How to Create a Bouncing Ball in Autodesk Maya Using Dynamics

I'm back with a new tutorial. I promised I would do the animating fire ball, but I have got something cooler and much, much more easier than that.
Today, I will show you how to create a bouncing ball using dynamics in Maya, after that you can add the fire effects like I have shown in the previous tutorial.
1: First create a polygonal plane and polygonal sphere in Autdesk Maya, dimensions are not a problem over here.

2: Then, rotate the plane about 14.5 degrees on the x-axis of the rotation sphere.

3: Then go to the "soft/rigid bodies" section on the top and make the sphere the active rigid body and the plane a passive rigid body. This states to the sphere that it will be active in the animation, and the plane will be stable and immobile in the animation itself and serve as a wall or a base.

4: After that you should know that the active and passive rigid bodies will not move and due to that there should be gravity that would pull the active rigid body down as in real life. Therefore, we will go to the fields drop down menu and then we will add a gravity field to the active rigid body, which in this case is the sphere that will bounce.

5: Voila! Your work to do a bouncing ball in Maya using dynamics is over and when you hit the play button which is at the right bottom corner of the Maya window, your ball will actually bounce as a real life ball bounces on a sloping terrain. If you want to add any other effects such as if you want the fire ball to bounce down then just add the fire effect and settle the units according to your own needs.

How to Create a Fire Ball in Autodesk Maya
1: First create a polygonal sphere, dimensions are not really worried about right now.
4: After that you can adjust your settings with the little box that is provided with the "create fire effect " option and then you can adjust all the settings that you want and adjust your fire to your own needs. Also you can go to the sidebar and then click Ctrl A, until a thin frame comes and also from there you can adjust your fire effect in the way you like and in the way you want to animate your fire.
5: After some settings have changed this is the basic fire that will appear in your viewport:
6: After rendering through that little cinema box at the top right you may get this kind of image. You can get rid of the little sphere (like I did) that is visible by toggling it's visibility at the side bar.
That concludes my tutorial about how to create a fire ball in Autodesk Maya. The next will be on how to animate this ball of fire, so be ready with this. This is the first time that I am posting. My blog will help in all the difficulties that you might face during your animating assingments or if you have trouble animating. Whatever, but if you do not find anything on this site that I have posted, you can always post a thread, and I will be sure to reply soon. You can have the fun, the learn, and your favorite tuts, on this site. For me this blog means a lot and of course I would be able to provide the links from where I have taken these tutorials.
I will also provide day to day hints and polls about how to do many of the other small interactions with softwares such as Autodesk Maya 2008, Autodesk Max 2008, and Z-Brush the detailing software.
